Campus Conversation Listening Practice Set
Conversation Script:
Characters: Sarah (Student), Mark (Student), Professor Lee
Sarah: Hey Mark, did you manage to register for all of your classes this semester?
Mark: Oh, hey Sarah! I'm almost done, but I'm having a bit of trouble with my biology lab. It's, uh, full, and I really need it to graduate this year. I tried emailing the professor, but, um, no response yet. How about you?
Sarah: Yeah, I got lucky. I registered early and got all my classes. But, I heard Professor Lee is pretty accommodating. Maybe you could, like, try visiting him during office hours?
Mark: That's a good idea. Do you know when his office hours are? I just, uh, want to make sure I catch him at the right time.
Sarah: I think they're on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. You might want to double-check on the department's website, though.
Mark: Thanks, Sarah. I'll do that. By the way, are you still looking for a study group for chemistry?
Sarah: Yeah, I am. I've been struggling a bit with the last few chapters. Do you know anyone who's good at it?
Mark: Actually, Professor Lee mentioned in class that he organizes tutoring sessions for students who need extra help. You might want to ask him about that, too.
Sarah: Oh, that's great! I'll definitely ask him when I see him. Thanks, Mark!
Mark: No problem. Good luck with everything!
Professor Lee: (Approaching) Hello, Mark. I overheard you mentioning the biology lab. If you still need a spot, come see me after class tomorrow. I think we can work something out.
Mark: Thank you so much, Professor Lee! I really appreciate it.
Professor Lee: You're welcome. And Sarah, if you're interested in the tutoring sessions, drop by my office. We can discuss your schedule.
Sarah: I will, Professor. Thank you!
